In 1964 a group of gentleman thought they would take their love of snowmobiling a step further and formed a club. Monsieur Warren Michaud had a camp which became their first ‘Club House” The camp was named Red Arrow Camp. After some time they decided to build their own club house which they build before permission was asked for the land. The cost of a 24 X 36 cabin was $2400.00. The little shack was called The Red Arrow Snowmobile Club after the first camp. The club had 12 members. The groomer of choice was a bulldozer pulling a frame of a truck which had a whole 6 horse power engine. The trail was 9 miles long. That later grew into 80 miles of trail and took 24 hours to groom which was why they only groomed it twice a week. Money received from the state at the time was $800.00.
